Joseph B. Panek, 75, of Nokomis, FL joined his wife Mary of 54 Years in heaven on December 5, 2015. Joe was born in Chicago, IL. Joe and Mary were married October 14, 1961. After he proudly served in the U.S. Army reserves, he began his career in banking at The Bank of Waukegan. In 1974 he moved his family to Bristol Wisconsin to start his Mini Farm. With the help of family and friends Joe was able to provide the horse farm surroundings that Mary loved. After retirement they moved to Florida where many wonderful friends were made, and he was able to pursue his passions for golf, fishing, traveling, card playing and the occasional wager.
Joe is survived by sons Joe (Marla) of Bristol, WI and Tim (Brandy) of Kenosha, WI. Grandchildren Jennifer, Courtney, Matthew, Ashley. Great-grandchildren Mia, Leelah, Sister Nettie and special friend Jayne
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel 425 S. Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 A.M. with interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Ewing Chapel is in charge of arrangements
