The Waggener High School Class of 1960, of which Linda was one of its valued leaders, is preparing to celebrate its 61st Reunion. Her presence would have been cherished by so many friends. We are grateful for our times with her and the influence she had on our class, the first to graduate from the new high school on the east side of Louisville KY.

Linda was one of my best friends and I miss having her in my life. We were friends through sewing and quilting as well as through the Suncoast British Car Club.

As the Waggener High School class of 1960 is now just a month away from our (one-year-Covid-delayed) 60th reunion, Linda would be delighted to know that the class yearbook, which she and Brenda Struss co-edited, is being used daily to track the lives and deaths of our 323 classmates, in preparation for a reunion mini-bio book.

Beyond the love, friendship and memories of those closest to Linda, I remember her as a dear, Waggener High School friend in Louisville, the host of a fabulous class reunion and Sunday breakfast in Florida, the editor of the most lasting book on my bookshelf (Waggener's first graduating class yearbook of 1960), and a friend, confident and colleague of my high school girlfriend. I learned of her death from Nick, after sending a note about our 60th, high school class reunion, but she will be with us in memory. . . if we survive 2020 and Covid-19.

Linda was a wonderful friend to me and most of our classmates in high school. She was kind, smart, capable and contributed to our first graduating class in many ways. I was in confirmation class with her and know she valued her faith. It was inspiring to read about her life in her obituary as I was unfamiliar with so many of her accomplishments as well as the people she nurtured in her adult life.
Thanks be to God
