In Loving Memory, Omar Neal Adams 86 passed away on May 18, 2018. Born December 28th, 1931 in Sarasota, Fl.
He graduated High School from Kentucky Military Institute and a Graduate of The University of Miami.
He served in Army during the Korean War. He was the President of Adams and Houser Hardware and for many years on the Board of Directors with American Hardware Association.
He loved to cook and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.
Omar is survived by his three children Omar Neal, Mark Bryan and Kristine Smith. Three Grandchildren Patrick Adams, Megan Zietz, and Jamie Smith. Five great-grandchildren Aiden, Evan, Indiana, Faith, and Harmony. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years "Bonnie" Muriel C. Adams in 2013.
Services will be held at the National Cemetery Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 11:30 am. State Rd. 72 Sarasota, Fl. 34241
Reception to follow Southgate Community Center 3145 Southgate Cir, Sarasota, Fl. 34239.

I work for Mr. Adams at the main Adams & Houser Hardware Store. I I I also dated his daughter Kris (I was 16). He and his wife Bonnie adopted me as their own (even though I had a family 6 blocks away). The memories are some of the best days of my life. Omar and Bonnie had a friend named John Bass. We would go to his beach house on Long Boat Key. Omar and John were the most giving men I have ever meet. Their generosity made a huge impact on my life. And I hope I have picked up just a bit some of their traits and generosity. Omar was always cooking. The first time I ever heard the word "paprika" was from the potato wedges he would make along with the marinated steak he cooked. I have so many memories...... like the time I crashed his daughters car. I cleaned their garage to try and compensate for the damage, the crushed ice machine in their garage and the 24 oz Styrofoam cups they had to make a drink in. I regret that I did not stop by their home to say hello. I was so sad to red about Omar's passing and I was shocked that his love Bonnie had passed so early in live.

Uncle Omar was always good to me when we were little. So sorry for your loss. He will be well taken care of by God and Aunt Bonnie will be glad to be reunited with him.
