Paul Kingston Obituary

Paul E. Kingston, 79, Punta Gorda, died July 14, 2002. He was born Aug. 15, 1922, in New Jersey and lived most of his life in New York City. He served in the Navy on PT Boat 281, Squadron 23, during World War II. He worked as a naval architect for Gibbs & Cox Inc. in New York City. He designed the concrete anchor for the entrance of Punta Gorda Isles. He was a former member of the Punta Gorda Boat Club and the North Shore Yacht Club in Port Washington, N.Y. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary; a daughter, Margaret Black of Lyme, Conn.; a son, Paul T. of Lake Suzy; five stepchildren; a sister, Andre; a brother, John; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial services will be private. National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte chapter, is in charge.
