Peter Stolberg Obituary

Stolberg, Peter
July 31, 1947 - Jan 14, 2017
Peter Stolberg was born in Princeton, New Jersey, to Sidney Stolberg and Evelyn "Lane" Cantor. He lived on Siesta Key in Sarasota for over 40 years, where he worked as a private investigator and process server. Peter is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Patricia Hascall Stolberg, their sons Josh and Jason, their daughters-in-law Leila and Denise, and their four grandchildren Asher, Sidney, Xander, and Maia, as well as more wonderful family and good friends than one person deserves. All will miss him dearly.
While no funeral services are planned, a celebration of his life will be held for friends and family on Saturday, January 28, from 1PM to 4PM, at a friend's home located at 1859 Lincoln Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Transverse Myelitis Association in Peter's name.

I got to know Peter when we all went to HSC in Scottsbluff. In the midst of strangers he was friendly and welcoming and he always had time for a chat. He was the President of the fraternity that we both belonged to and it was a sign of how much he was loved and respected by so many that he was given that honor. Even all these years later in our sporadic communications, that warmth and caring still came through.

My sympathy to Pat and his sons in this time of sorrow for them.

Peace and Love

My prayers go out to Patty and Josh and Jason. Peter was a wonderful man who always had a smile on his face, a great story to tell and a comforting spirit. I will always remember looking forward to spending time with Peter and Patty on my trips down to Sarasota. Peter and Patty were an amazing couple together and were always smiling and happy together. My condolences to Patty as she travels through this rough time. Much love. Staci, Briana and Colby Brum

There are no words to convey our sadness. We have lovely memories of our times together and our friendship over the many years that we have known Peter and Pat, and especially from the visit with us to celebrate a joint birthday on July 31st! We will always celebrate Peter on this day in the future. He remains in our hearts and minds and prayers, and our love and care for Pat continues.

We are better for having known Peter, and the world was a better place because of his gentle nature. As we can't be at the Celebration of Life, we will hold our own celebration for him at the same time (6pm UK time) and it will include lots of stories, tears, and a pub.

Pat, please feel our love and care, and the 'virtual hugs' until we can give you one in person.

Much love.
