Scott Donaldson Obituary

Scott W. Donaldson, 63, of Sarasota, died January 21, 2013. He was born in Washington, D.C., August 14, 1949, and initially came to Sarasota in the early '70s. He moved here permanently in 1986, from New York. He was a graduate of the University of Vermont, and Syracuse University. He was a football and baseball player in his youth and an accomplished golfer. He was a home builder and President of Canterbury Homes here in Sarasota. He was the owner of P.J. Remington's Bar and Restaurant, Inc., and Foxworth Holsteins, Inc. in New York, where he managed his family's farms and finances. He is survived by his mother Mary Wadsworth; his sister Jean Ogilvie; his daughter Lyndsey; his son Michael; and his grandsons Jake and Josh Findlay. He cared for his fellow man. A memorial gathering is scheduled for February 8, 2013 at 2 pm in the small chapel of the Church of the Palms located at 3224 Bee Ridge Rd in Sarasota, Florida.

We are saddened to hear the news about Scott. Even though it has been many years since our days in Sarasota, we will always remember those good times as we watched our kids grow up together. Even though I was the world's worst golfer, Scott (who was fantastic) always had a fun comment and words of encouragement when we played together. Please know our thoughts, love and prayers are with the entire family.
