Theodore Blake Obituary
Sept. 11, 1925 - September 10, 2008
Theodore Dockstader Blake Jr., 82, Siesta Key, formerly of Livingston, N.J., died Sept. 10, 2008.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 27 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Essex Fells, N.J.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Ann; daughter and son-in-law Dede and Mark McMenamy of Florham Park, N.J.; son Theodore III of Washington Township, N.J.; sister Judy Tracy of Bend, Ore.; stepchildren Jeff Rott and wife, Kathy, of Portland, Ore., and Lisa Rott of Maplewood, N.J.;
and eight grandchildren, Chris, Garett and Olivia Blake, Devin and Conor McMenamy, and Jeffrey, Kelsey and Haley Rott.
He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and was a flight instructor for the "Mitchell" B-25 airplanes. He attended the University of Virginia. He was a member of the Rock Spring Country Club, West Orange, N.J., the Bond Club of New Jersey and the American Legion Post 320 of Siesta Key. He was an investment adviser for 43 years, 26 years with Hornblower-Weeks, in Newark, N.J., and 17 years with UBS-Paine Webber in Morristown, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Siesta Key Chapel, in Siesta Key.

Dee
Ted was a gifted man who loved you as you did him. I did not met Ted, and I wish I had. We had our air planes in common and when I spoke with him on the phone, it made my day. As I said before, He will have his wings again in heaven.
