Todd Lamont Williams, 35, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Bradenton, FL, died on Jan. 3, 2014. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Fri., Jan. 17, 2014 at the 13th Avenue Dream Center in Bradenton, FL. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Sat., at Happy Gospel Church in Bradenton, FL. Funeral arrangements by: Westside Funeral Home.

I remember Todd as he was in high school boy he was a big guy with a big personality and heart. He always had a big smile and had joy in his heart. I let him use my moped a few times which he was great full for. I did not see him after high school but was very happy to hear of his involvement in football as I knew he was the right build for the sport.

Todd even tough I have not seen you in years the thought you are hear in the flesh no longer saddens me however I know I will see you agin in paradise :)

I miss you Todd. You were as much a son to me as you could be. From your junior year at Southeast, all the way through FSU and the NFL and Arena. Our family was so proud of your accomplishments, and even more for your heart to work with other youth who needed a mentor. My job is complete--you are at home in the presence of the Lord, and now you know more about the Lord than any of us left here on earth.

My name is Melissa Mapps and I went to Southeast High School with Todd. He and my cousin Albert hung out all the time. That is how I met him at school. We all used to stand around waiting for our classes to begin. But Todd had taken a liking to me for some reason. Everyday I would see him he would have this smile that will make you laugh and fell good because it was so genuine. I would be so happy to see him because of how humble his spirit was. He was a great friend to me. One thing about Todd is that you will never know that is going thru something or has gone through anything, because he always appreciated what he had. Even if it was just your friendship, he never asked for much but to be you and that was it. I had the pleasure of reuniting with Todd at 13th Ave Dream Center over the past summer 2013. And it was just so awesome; all I can remember is that great big smile of love when he spoke to you or even just even acknowledging your presence. Bless you and the family, and he is another one of God's angels called home because his time was up and his job was completed. He has left a legacy that no body can demolish.
