Jane A. Damic

Damic, Jane A. Age 91, of Carleton, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in the comfort of her home. Born on August 20, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Genieva (Tissander) Brothers. On October 1, 1966 she married Robert Damic in Monroe, MI. She was employed with Ash Township as the Water Clerk for several years before holding the position of Treasure of the Township 26 years until retirement. Jane enjoyed shopping, quilting and traveling south to visit Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA. She loved her family. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Nick Rabchenia and 2nd husband, Robert Damic, sons, Nick Rabchenia, II, Donald Rabchenia and Christipher Damic. Surviving are daughter, Jane (Russell) Grabetz of Carleton; sons, Robert Damic, Jr. of Evert, MI, Phillip Rabchenia of Wyandotte and William (Adviya) Rabchenia of Sparta, TN; sister, Phylis "Tippy" Gaylik of CA; 9 grandchildren, Adam Grabetz, Shelly Grabetz, Amanda Grabetz, Mathew Rabchenia, Lucas Rabchenia, Hillory Rabchenia, Christoper Damic, Danielle Damic, Hanah Rabchenia and Emma Rabchenia; 11 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Promedica Hospice.
