Mildred P. "Millie" Halash

Mildred "Millie" P. Halash of Wyandotte. October 23, 2021. Age 94. Beloved wife of the late Leo. Loving mother of Janice Prichard, David Halash, Lee (Catherine) Halash, Edward (Jeanne) Halash, and Patrick Halash. Preceded in death by her sons Paul and Thomas Halash and siblings Patricia Johnson and Rita Peacock. Proud grandmother of Jon Prichard, Michael Prichard, Amanda Halash, Sarah Halash, and Laura (Joe) Nelson. Great grandmother of Racquel, Hayden, Glen, and Millie. Millie graduated from Pershing High School in 1944. She then went on to the St. Mary School of Nursing and completed her program in 1948. She received her Bachelor's of Science from the University of Detroit in 1981. After retirement, she spent time at her cottage on Evans Lake. Millie was also a faithful parishioner of St. Patrick's Church in Wyandotte for 72 years. Millie was the matriarch of the family. She loved having her family members visit and stay with her, especially during the holidays. She was very selfless and humble, always doing for others before herself. When she did take time for herself, she enjoyed gardening, playing Pinochle, and working on crossword puzzles. She will be deeply missed by many. In lieu of flowers, the Family requests any Memorial Donations in Millie's Honor be made to Penrickton Center for Blind Children. Services for Millie were held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at St. Vincent Pallotti Parish-St. Patrick's Worship Site. Czopek Funeral Directors handled the arrangements. www.czopekfuneraldirectors.com
