BENNY E. BARTLETT 4/10/1939 - 2/3/2014 Benny, passed away peacefully at home with family at his side after a 12 year battle with Alzheimer's. Born to a Kansas wheat farmer, the youngest of 10 siblings, he started working with Safeway stores at the age of 21. His grocery career led him from Kansas to Colorado and then the state of Washington where he was part owner of a small chain of grocery stores. He then moved to Apple Valley in 1985. He was best known as a lifelong Christian, loving husband, father, grand- father and great-grand- father. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary, daughter Pam, son Mark and his wife Sandra, all of Apple Valley; also by 3 brothers, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services to be held Saturday February 8, 2014 at Victorville High Desert Church; service at 10am. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations going to Alzheimer's Foundation.
