Daniel Diaz Obituary

Daniel Diaz
Victorville - Daniel Diaz was born on April 2nd, 1954, and entered his eternal life on January 3rd, 2021 after a courageous battle with Covid-19. Daniel will be remembered for his charismatic smile, quick wit, wisdom, and his heart-felt bear hugs.
Daniel grew up in Victorville, then moved to Garden Grove, where he attended high school and college. In 1973, he relocated to the Bay Area and soon after met and married his wife Laura. Daniel's job would eventually take him to Loveland, CO where his family grew and many friends and memories were made.
In 1985, Daniel retook his residency in Victorville, CA where he was a well-known member of the community. Daniel loved sports and one could find him on a ball field or courtside where he played basketball, played and coached softball, and was on the chain crew for local high school and college football teams.
In January of 2019, Daniel retired as a field service engineer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, working on his classic cars, and traveling with his family.
Daniel leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years Laura Rocha Diaz, four loyal children Carmen and husband Joe Vera, Celina and husband Robert Phillips, Leticia and husband David Briones, and Vincent Diaz and wife Candi. He also leaves behind 12 adoring grandchildren Celicia, Monique, Daniel, Rockford, Lilliana, Leilani, Joaquin, Andynn, Gabriel, and Rosalie. Daniel is also one of seven children, survived by Delia, David and wife Licia, Donald and wife Janet, Darrell, Diane and Dean, and wife Linda, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Daniel's jokes, nicknames, laugh and his one-liners will be greatly missed. He is truly irreplaceable.
Daniel joins his beloved parents Lupe and Ofelia Diaz and niece Andrea Diaz in the Kingdom of Heaven. Funeral Mass will be held on January 18th at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. This will be a service with limited attendance. At this time, The Diaz Family would like to thank all of those who have expressed their love and condolences during this difficult time.

They just don't make men like Danny anymore. . . Together he and Laura went through a lot. The stayed together and were my example of how love does endure and grow. He wouldn't want us to mourn so much as the be there for Laura and the family all those he left behind. He was generous, funny, loving, kind, hard working.
