Agnes Carson HICKORY Agnes Juanita Carson, 87, of G.W. Carson Rd., Hickory, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born Jan. 1, 1925, in Cleveland County, to the late George and Mamie Briggs Prysock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Carson; and one grandson, David Adams. She retired from Drexel Heritage and was a member of Maple Grove Reformed Glorious Church of God. She leaves to cherish loving memories one daughter, Barbara Jean (James, Sr.) Robinson, of Connelly Springs; one sister, Ruby McKnight, of Ohio; four grandsons, Daryl Robinson, of Hickory, James Robinson, Jr. and Mark Robinson, of Connelly Springs, and Patrick Robinson, of Drexel; one granddaughter, Stephanie Robinson, of Drexel; 14 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grand-children; and a number of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Reformed Glorious Church of God, with Pastor Randolph Wray and Missionary Louise Carson officiating. The body will lie in state from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests that all floral arrangements be purple, white, and pink.
