Allic Crawford Obituary

Allic Crawford

October 20, 1994 - June 12, 2025

Allic Stone Tyler Crawford, a beautiful and vibrant soul, has left this world too soon.

Allic, 30 years old, passed unexpectedly at his home on June 12, 2025, in Hickory, North Carolina.

Born on October 20, 1994, he was the cherished son of his devoted mother, Rachel Duke. Allic's life was rooted in Hickory, North Carolina-a place he called home and where his spirit touched everyone around him.

Over the years, he did many different jobs and enjoyed various hobbies. He worked a lot selling and machining gun parts. He really loved being outside, camping, going hiking, carpentry, woodworking, and shooting activities. Allic had a great sense of humor, and was a thoughtful gift giver. He was loyal, kind, generous, and introspective.

Allic was a lifelong Boy Scout with Troop 250 based out of St Luke's Methodist Church in Hickory, North Carolina. He worked at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico for two years.

Allic joined the United States Marine Corps in 2016. He was in Charlie Company of the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines (1/6) stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His military occupational speciality (MOS) was 0311 Infantry Rifleman. Allic was an exceptional sharpshooter. In 2017, Allic and his unit took part in Operation Inherent Resolve. They were deployed to Syria as part of a combined joint task force to help fight against ISIS militants in the Battle of Raqqa. In 2018, his unit was sent on an allied NATO training mission to Latvia. His team also took part in various warfare training programs within the United States.

During this time, he really enjoyed being part of the close-knit community and the brotherhood he developed with his fellow Marines. Allic, a Corporal was honorably discharged from the Marines in 2020. He was a dedicated and decorated Marine.

Survivors include his mother, Rachel Duke; sister, Teddi Crawford; and step father, Brian Griffith, all of Hickory, North Carolina; close friends, Bruce and Becky Beerbower of Hickory, Sam Mills of Scott City, Kansas, Taylor Heavner of Hickory, Johnathan Balch of Hickory; his Marine brothers, particularly Chalmers, and Vezio; and last but not least his beloved Fur Babies, Kittyman, and BigBig.

He was preceded in death by his loving dog and best bud, Mooky.

Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Red Cedar Farm, 5775 Charlie Little Road, Granite Falls, North Carolina, 28630.

Allic was a wonderful friend of mine. Allic loved Mooky and his cats. He also loved his father Calvin. I had the pleasure of having them over my house many times over the years. Allic was there for me during my wife's passing 5 years ago. He will be forever missed. Allic I hope you have the peace that you have been searching for. Your eternal friend - Dana
