Annie Josephine "Jo" Little age 90 of Newton, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Abernathy Laurels, Newton, N.C.
She was preceded in death by three of her children, Greta, Terry, & Mark Sigmon: her parents, Ernest Otha and Callie B Cline: all eight of her sisters and brothers-in-law: Challie Bain (James) Beal, Lois (Sam) Snipes, Vera (Frank) Caldwell, Doll (Shortie) Little, Helen (Joe) Campbell, Chuck (Everett) Campbell, Neat (Howard) Drum, Net (Page) Black: her husband of 42 years, Fred A. Little, Sr.: and one step-daughter, Connie Wright.
She is survived by: one daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann (James) Starr and one grandson Joseph (Cara) Sigmon & their children Zoe & Ivy. A number of nieces, nephews and friends. Two stepdaughters; Bev Noe and Tammie (Larry) Miller: One stepson Fred (Linda) Little, Jr. One stepson-in-law Troy Wright. Nine step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
Jo was a member of St James Lutheran Church in Newton. She was retired from McCreary Modern. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, and her flowers.
She had resided at Abernathy Laurels in Newton since having a stroke in June of 2017. The family would like to thank Abernathy Laurels and Carolina Caring for the special care of their Mother. Thanks also go to nephew Jimmie Beal who faithfully visited her while she was at Abernathy's.
She was buried at St James Lutheran Church cemetery beside her husband after a private service conducted by Chaplain Bruce Dayton of Carolina Caring.
