Bert Hamilton Duncan, 92, of Claremont, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. He was born March 31, 1931 in Catawba County to the late Harper and Pearl Marlow Duncan. Bert was of the Methodist faith and was a United States Army veteran, where he was an 86th Field Artillery paratrooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Pat Barger Duncan. Those left to cherish his memory are;
Daughter: Kendra Duncan Hedrick and husband Danny of Claremont; Step-Daughter: Lesa C. McCoy of Clayton. The family would like to thank the staff of Conover Nursing, especially Callie and Cheryl for the wonderful care they gave to Mr. Duncan. A service to celebrate Bert's life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) of NC @ DAV.org/ways-to-give or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
