Cathy Hildebran Taylor, age 65, of Sherrills Ford, graduated to her new body Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Carolina Caring in Sherrills Ford. She was born March 28, 1959, in Catawba County, daughter of the late Carlie Ray Hildebran and Louetta Buff Hildebran. She was a member of New Grace Baptist Church and worked at Carolina Glove prior to leaving to support her husband, Pastor Jerry Taylor, in his ministry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Pastor Jerry Wayne Taylor, Sr.; and brothers, Donald and Johnny Hildebran.

She is survived by:

Daughter, Sheila Gooden and husband Keith, of Maiden; sons, Jerry Taylor, Jr. and wife, Mandy, of Catawba, and Michael Taylor and wife, Dana, of Catawba; brothers, Jerry Hildebran and wife, Gail, of Catawba, and Carlie Hildebran, Jr. and wife, Diana, of Taylorsville; sisters, Helen Walls, of Vale, and Barbara Brittian, of Taylorsville; grandsons, Jonathan (Katie), Brian (Samantha), Thomas (Seirra), Jay (Esther), Brock, Jackson, and Landon; granddaughters, Tori (Zach), Carin (Austin) and Samantha; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at New Grace Baptist Church, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jody Pauley, Missionary Joe Hendricks, and Evangelist Jay Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday evening, May 17, 2024, at the church.
