Chasity Spivey Obituary

MAIDEN - Chasity Dawn Spivey, 23, of Maiden, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born Dec. 14, 1984, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Barry Dean Spivey and Denise "George" Grant Spivey of Newton. Chasity was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Taylor Peyton of the home; one son, John Peyton II of the home; fiance, John Peyton of the home; parents, Barry and Denise "George" Spivey of Newton; grandparents, Charles and Bobbie Spivey of Lincolnton, Ray Grant of Maiden and Margaret Painter of Maiden; great-grandparent, Emma Waldrop of Lincolnton; two sisters, Amy Carden of Maiden and Charity Underwood of Maiden; two nephews, Cory and Johnny; five aunts; and four uncles. The funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden, with the Rev. Jeff Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden, prior to the service.
