Daniel Eugene Coley, 56, of Maiden, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Atrium Health in Charlotte.
Born Dec. 18, 1964, in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Billy Eugene Coley and Carolyn Ann Bustle Cuthbertson. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Maiden.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Coley of the home; daughter, Katie Brantley and husband, Ricky, of Maiden; stepson, Chris Denny and girlfriend, Nina Fox, of Hampsted; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Hathcock, of the home; brother, David Coley and wife, Karen, of Casar; three grandsons, Sean, Connor and Cade; and four granddaughters, Destiny, Ila, Caroline and Charlotte.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m., at Westside Baptist Church with the Revs. Bud Painter and Charles Worley officiating. Burial in the church cemetery will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:45 p.m., at the church, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church in Maiden.

I am so sorry to return to work from vacation and find out about this terrible event. We all enjoyed working with Dan, he was a good guy with a wonderful sense of humor. A very kind man who will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Dan's family, I am so sorry for your loss and it just breaks my heart that this happened. God bless you all, may the Lord provide comfort in this difficult time.
