I worked with her sons Pat and Tim for over 25 years. They spoke often of the wonderful home life they were raised in as children in Hickory. Their mother and father instilled wonderful values in their children which affected all that knew them all these years later. Pat and Tim often expressed their great love and deep respect for their mother, and I know she will be sorely missed. May Mrs.Byler rest in peace.
With deep respect, our condolences,

Some of my happiest memories growing up at FBC, Hickory, included Dave and Dottie Byler. Their testimonies had a tremendous impact on my life, and I am thankful God allowed me to know them. We know Dottie is resting in the arms of Jesus. May God bless each of you.

Dottie and Dave were the first people we met having moved to Hky from Conn. in l964. She was always so friendly and a person of genuine character! We are a better 'family' from having known her and her husband whom we all loved and adored. We will have loving memories of her and Dave, who did so much for our church all those years!!! Our heartfelt sympathy for all the family. We loved her!!!
