David Eugene White, a faith-filled man known for his thoughtful nature and unfailing kindness, passed away at Carolina Caring on June 20, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 31, 1947, in Russell County, Virginia, David's life was one of dedication to his family and church, leaving a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
David's early years in the loving home of his parents, Paul L. White and Lola Buchanan White, set a strong foundation for the values he would carry throughout his life. Unfortunately, he was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Dallas White, Paul White, Curtis White, and Marie Setzer.
His devotion to family was paramount, and he is fondly remembered by his adored daughter, Christi Jones, and her husband Darren of Maiden and grandsons, Jacob & Isaac. David was a beloved brother to Earnest White and his wife Karin of Conover, Marion White and his wife Judy of Conover, Gracie Jones and her husband Bob of Maiden, and Wilma DonJuan and her husband Marcus of Hickory; brother-in-law to Sharon White of Newton and Cynthia Rose of Maiden and uncle to numerus nieces and nephews of all of whom shared an unbreakable bond with him.
David's calling as a truck driver allowed him to explore the country. Upon retirement, he devoted himself to serving as an active member of Wallace Grove Baptist Church, where his Christian faith was an essential part of his existence.
An avid guitarist, David's joy was most vibrant when he strummed melodies that echoed his inner serenity. His gentle nature and the harmonious sounds he created were a source of comfort and joy to his family and friends. David's life was a testament to the beauty found in simplicity, as he found his greatest pleasure in spending quality time with his family and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Wallace Grove Baptist Church with the Revs Chris Phillips and Troy Tucker officiating.
The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Arrangements have entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Fallston.
