Elizabeth "Madge" Jane Swink Walker, 83, of Conover, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Elizabeth was born on March 22, 1942, in Cleveland County, N.C., to the late Tom Canipe and Daisy Swink Canipe. She was retired from Hefner Furniture in Conover and was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Hickory.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Canipe and Thomas Canipe; and two sisters, Nancy Sigmon and Rosa Lee Short.
She is survived by three daughters, Lisa Walker of Casar, Sandra Walker of Casar, and Debbie Wray of Shelby; three brothers, Burl Canipe, Sherman Canipe, and James Canipe all of Conover; two sisters, Sara Houston and Maggie Smith both of Conover; seven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Sara Houston and Maggie Smith for all of their care, love and support.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Webb officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, N.C. 28658.
