Faye Setzer Obituary
March 18, 1940 - December 17, 2024
Faye Walker Setzer, 84, of Hickory passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Born March 18, 194,0 in Clover, SC, she was the daughter of the late Horace N. Walker and Odessa "Dolly" Massey Walker. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ted Lee Setzer; and two brothers, Max and Ray Walker.
Faye graduated from Clover High School and then attended Carolina Business College in Charlotte. She retired after 30 years from Forest City Tool Company.
A member of Highland Baptist Church, Faye taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and helped in the nursery.
She loved to shop and enjoyed crocheting. She and her family were avid Atlanta Braves fans.
Survivors include her son, Todd Lee Setzer (Christel) of Hickory, NC; her granddaughter, Kendall Leigh Setzer of Hickory, NC; two sisters-in-law, Nedra Walker of Anderson, SC and Judy Walker of Clover, SC; two nephews, Randy Walker (Angela) of Alpharetta, GA and Greg Walker (Stephanie) of Clover, SC; and two great nephews, Blake and Logan Walker.
No services are scheduled.
Memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church, 828 9th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601.

Todd, I´m so sorry to see the loss of your Mom and Dad. Haven´t talked with you in a long time. What a great neighborhood we had at one time, very fond memories. I´ll tell the boys. Sending prayers, hugs, and love to you and your family. Hope you, Christel, and Kendall are doing well.
