March 20, 1950 - March 2, 2023
Harold James Reid, 72, of Kannapolis, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, March 2, 2023, at his home.
Born March 20, 1950, in Caldwell County, he was the son of the late James and Virginia Rice Reid.
Mr. Reid had retired form Rowan Region Medical Center, where he was a security guard. Harold loved all of his family and enjoyed gardening, photography and spending quiet time at the tater hole in Granite Falls. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Family members include his beloved wife of 15 years, Melody Royal Reid; his daughter, Noel Joy Poole (Ben); sister, Patti Forbes (Stephen); his granddaughter, Autumn Laster; son, Anthony Reid; and extended family members.
Memorial services to remember and celebrate Harold's life will begin at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 5, at Highest Praise Church of God, 1700 Bostian Rd. in China Grove.
The family would like to thank Trellis Supportive Care, Rowan Health and Wellness, and especially Chasity Hammond, FNP, for the love, care and concern given to Mr. Reid and his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you purchase perennial plants, which will be planted at his home.
