James Scott Obituary
Mr. James Roosevelt Scott passed away Friday, May 7, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Scott of the home; son, Dante Rankins; and daughter, Renric (Sidney) Lackey both of Charlotte.
The funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, at Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church at 3 p.m. A public viewing will be held at the Walter Gladys Memorial Chapel of Dirk M. Thompson Mortuary Friday, May 14, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, May 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at Southside Cemetery. Dirk M. Thompson Mortuary 828-323-1980 is serving the Scott family.

Dear My M Vickie & Family,
It broke my heart to learn of your loss of your beloved Jim. A more devoted, loving husband and family member never existed~ he loved and served his Lord and Saviour; he well-served his hometown community and our country selflessly throughout his lifetime in the US Army and the Army Reserve.
Such a kind, caring, loving soul will forever be greatly missed as he rests ~ we pray, peacefully with God our Father Almighty for eternity in heaven.
