Janice Smith

November 19, 1948 - February 25, 2023

Janice Faye Smith, 74, of Lincolnton, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at her residence. Born November 19, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Coye and Ruth Sain. She retired from the City of Lincolnton after 19 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacey Beaver and husband, Gary; and grandchildren, Lindsey Gaus and Micah Beaver; great-granddaughter, Aurora Beaver; two sisters, Betty Houser and husband, Jim, and Gail Leonhardt and husband, Gary; and four brothers, Keith Sain and wife, Linda, Dean Sain and wife, Robin, Farrell Sain, and Johnny Sain and wife, Myra.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Gary Smith; and her granddaughter, Alexis Beaver.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday March 1, at Liberty Baptist Church of Maiden, with Pastor Larry Blakley officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, and burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Lincolnton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church of Maiden. 2054 West Maiden Rd., Maiden, NC 28650.
