Jonathan Paul Hofeldt, 27, of Conover, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.
Born March 7, 1993, in High Point, he was the son of John Henry Paul Hofeldt and the late Linda Amelia Worsham Hofeldt. An attendee of Hickory Bible Church, he was the owner of Jon's Lawns lawn care business.
In addition to his father, John Hofeldt; Jonathan is survived by his brother, David Hofeldt of Hickory; sister, Laura Hofeldt Lara and husband, Ángel Lara, of Chihuahua, Mexico; uncle, Woody Worsham; aunt, Karen Worsham; and cousin, Catherine Worsham Hastings. He had many other beloved relatives who will miss him dearly.
Jonathan was a beloved brother, son, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was full of life, hardworking, genuine, funny, unique, a good friend, a spiritual encouragement to many, and a huge support to his family. He was loved and appreciated by his many lawn care clients and enjoyed owning and working his business. He loved animals and all living things, but especially his sweet dog, Kia, who was his best bud. Jonathan was truly a light and a blessing to everyone he met, and he will be sorely missed on this side of Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, at Hickory Bible Church with the Rev. Jon Krick officiating. There will be a floating receiving from 2 to 3 p.m., at the church, prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Jonathan's sister and brother-in-law toward their mission work in rural Mexico; or the Catawba Humane Society, as Jonathan loved animals. If you choose to give to Laura and Ángel Lara, checks can be made out to Hickory Bible Church, with "Missions fund-Laura & Angel" on the memo line. This is a tax-deductible donation.

I love and miss him so so much.. time doesn´t heal all wounds because mine still feel as torn as they did when I learned he was gone. Him & I made so many good memories together & he was one of the brightest lights I´ve ever had in my life and one of the only people to ever push me closer to God when I strayed. I will never get over losing him.. but the hope of one day being able to hug and see his face again helps to mend those broken pieces of my heart. He is so greatly missed.

There are no words we can say that will comfort you in this loss of such a sweet, precious son, do realize that you are never alone, God is always present. There are no answers to why but God can bring comfort and we know He offers hope for eternity. You are Not grieving alone.

Jon was a wonderful neighbor. His home was the middle house between my son & Tabb and my daughter Jennifer & husband Chan. I am so sorry for your loss.
