Keith Karl Barker NEWTON Keith Karl Barker, 43, of Newton, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, in Tennessee. Born Sept. 28, 1969, he was the son of the late Karl Barker and Mary Haney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Barker and Danny Barker. He was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Keith loved playing the guitar, hunting and fishing. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 24 years, Helen W. Barker; son, Kyle Barker; daughter, Brandy Barker; brother, Timie Joe Barker, of Newton; sisters, Debra Travis, of Catawba and Karla Allen, of Claremont; one grandson, Bradley Seats; his mother-in-law, Sandra Edmondson; and several nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dolph Abernathy officiating.
