Kennith Lester Smith, 79, of Hickory, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 21, 1943 in Catawba County to the late Lester Lloyd Smith and Ella Smart Smith. Kennith was of the Baptist faith and retired as a master carver after 60 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Clark Smith, who passed away on March 27, 2021; and son, Kip Lester Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory are; daughter: Scotty Smith Teague and husband Mack of Hickory; brother: Dalford Smith and wife Nancy of Hickory; grandchildren: Dustin Teague, Kendel Teague Rose, Shannon Laws, Nina Smith, Keith Smith, and DJ Smith; great-grandchildren: Makayla Mccrary, Brock Rose, Autumn Sky Pavey, and Ryker Pavey; companion: Sophie Smith.
A memorial service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held at a later date.
