Linda Starr HICKORY Linda Faye Hildebran Starr, 68, of Hickory, passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Catawba Valley Hospice and Palliative CareCenter. Born Aug. 29, 1942, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Hildebran and Betty Inez Dameron Hildebran of Icard, N.C. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Paige. She was a member of Icard Baptist Church and was a retired loan officer. She is survived by her mother, Inez Hildebran of Icard; her husband Gary Starr, of the home; her daughter, Robin Annas and husband Phillip of Granite Falls; her son, Bart Starr, of Hickory; granddaughters, Stacy Annas of Granite Falls, and Kayla Starr of Newton; and grandson, Jacob Starr of Greenville, N.C. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at 3 p.m. in the Bass-Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Floyd Boston officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service at Bass-Smith Funeral Home, Hickory.
