Lynn Bernard Siemer Sr., age 75, of Taylorsville, North Carolina, passed away on November 2nd, 2025, at Amorem Hospice in Hudson, North Carolina. Born on April 12th, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, Lynn grew into a vibrant, friendly individual known for his humor and love of life.
Lynn's educational journey led him to Central Methodist College, where his passion for sports flourished. He excelled as an all-state goalie for the college soccer team and engaged in various other sports over his life including football, basketball, softball, tennis, and racquetball. His love for sports continued throughout his life and he remained a dedicated fan of the St. Louis Blues and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Professionally, Lynn made significant contributions at Broyhill Furniture where he began his career in 1973 as an upholstery specialist. He held several managerial and vice-presidential positions over the years, eventually being promoted to Vice President of the International Division, a role that allowed him to travel the world.He retired after an impressive 35 plus years with the company where his leadership and expertise were invaluable.
Beyond his professional and athletic pursuits, Lynn cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was a regular at Granny's Kitchen in Viewmont, where he enjoyed breakfast almost every morning. He also loved boating and spending time with his grandchildren, especially during the holidays, with Christmas being his favorite.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Kris; his beloved dog, Bandit; sister, Pam Whitney (Pete); sons, Lynn Siemer Jr. and Todd Siemer (Mandy); grandsons, Kyler Siemer (Jaylin), Coty Siemer, Corey Siemer; granddaughter, McKenna Smith; great granddaughter, Willow Jean Siemer; nephews, Brad Whitney and Ben Whitney. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Louis Siemer and Norma Jean Garner Siemer.
A gathering to honor and remember Lynn's life will be held at the Jack Bass Memorial Building at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory, NC, on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, from 2 to 4:00 p.m.
Lynn's life was a testament to the joy of living fully, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
