Notsie Crouse Obituary

Notsie Crouse MAIDEN Notsie Catherine Crouse, 78, of Grange Rd., Maiden, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley in Newton. Born Sept. 14, 1933, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Oscar Crouse and the late Johnnie Lou Emma Brown Crouse. Notsie was of the Baptist faith and worked for 27 years at American Efierd. In addition to her parents, three brothers, J.W. Crouse, Jimmy Crouse and Andrew Crouse, and three sisters, Jessie Caldwell, Emma Auton and Maudie Crouse, preceded her in death. She is survived by two brothers, Gaither Crouse and wife, Elene, of Belmont and Charlie Crouse and wife, Kaye, of Lincolnton; five sisters, Mary Whisnant and husband, Odell, of Conover, Faye Sigmon and husband, Manuel, of San Antonio, Texas, Ruth Sigmon of Maiden, Alice Crouse of Maiden and Susie Crouse of Maiden; and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at 3 p.m., at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden, with the Rev. Bud Painter officiating. Burial will follow in Maiden City Cemetery, Maiden. The family will receive friends today, Dec. 13, 2011, from 5:30 until 7 p.m., at Burke Mortuary Chapel in Maiden.
