Robert Daniel Deese, Jr., 21, of Taylorsville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at his residence.
He was born October 31, 2001 in Catawba County to Robert Daniel Deese, Sr. and Allison Brewer Deese. JR was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover and a 2020 graduate of Newton-Conover High School. He was employed in the farming industry and enjoyed life to the fullest, helping others, and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Steve Brewer.
Those left to cherish his memory are; parents: Robert and Allison Brewer Deese of Hickory; grandparents: Rickey and Jeanie Deese of Hickory; Jack and Barbara Icard of Connelly Springs; sisters: Paige Johnson of Collettsville, Elizabeth Deese (Jason Teague) of Newton, Emily Deese of Newton; Nephews: Aiden, Carter, and Mason; Numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
A service to celebrate JR's life will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Michael Geml will officiate. Burial will follow in Conover City Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service. Those serving as pallbearers are; Robert Deese, Sr., Braden Walker, Jackson Walker, Anthony Broadwell, Charley Howell, and Phillip Brewer.
Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 216 5th Avenue SE, Conover, NC 28613.

I took care of JR in daycare as a toddler. He was a precious little boy. I am so sad to heR his life has been cut so short.
