Roger "Steve" Winebarger LENOIR Roger "Steve" Winebarger, 67, of Hudson went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ after a short battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Mr. Winebarger was born in Caldwell County to Edith Virginia Adams Winebarger of Lenoir and the late Leroy Mack Winebarger. He retired after 25 years as a truck driver from Hickory Springs and attended Poovey's Chapel Baptist Church. Steve is survived by his mother, Edith Virginia Adams Winebarger of Lenoir; his daughter, Lesley Dawn Mask and her husband, Shane of Hudson; his brothers, Larry Winebarger and his wife Earlene of Lenoir, and the Rev. Bobby Winebarger and his wife, Vickie of Candler; his sisters, Genise Icenhour and her husband, Steve of Lenoir and Denise Annas and her husband, Terry of Hudson. The light of his life were his grandchildren, Ashley Hawkins, Shaley Mask, Zane Mask and Ansley Mask, who called him "Pawpaw". A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. in Pendry's Chapel with the Rev. Doug Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Pendry's Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Keith Winebarger, Bobby Winebarger, Jr., Allen Winebarger, Mack Winebarger, Chad Icenhour and Kevin Annas.
