Sarah Frye

October 4, 1945 - August 25, 2025

Sarah Lookadoo Frye, age 79, of Coley Fish Pond Road in Newton, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 30, 2025, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Schronce officiating. Burial will follow in the Maiden City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

Mrs. Frye was born October 4, 1945, in Catawba County, to the late Wayne and Lonie Lutz Lookadoo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ralph Frye; brother, Willie Lookadoo; and three sisters, Texie Lookadoo, Rachel Beal, and Gertrude Canipe.

She was an office manager for Sher & Mishkin, Inc.

Surviving are a son, Dennis Frye (Tanya) of Terrell, NC; sister, Polly Travis of Maiden; and two grandsons, Sawyer Frye and Cole Frye (fiancé Caroline McIntosh), all of Terrell, NC.

Memorials may be made to Hearts & Hope Foundation, Inc., PO Box 596, Terrell, NC 28682.

Services are entrusted to Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, sister & grandmother. I knew Sarah from my banking days. Also knew her husband and both were always so nice. Sarah was kind & compassionate. Always came to my door & said hello. Know you will miss her as I have since retiring. Keep cherished memories close to your heart!
