Shirley F. Blanchard

LENOIR - Mrs. Shirley Frizsell Blanchard, 59, of Conway Drive, Granite Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22, 2006, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Burke County to Mabel Frizsell and the late Johnnie Frizsell. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Blanchard; a brother, Phil White; a sister, Frances White; a niece, Krystal White; and two great-nephews, Christian Bollinger and Brandon White. Mrs. Blanchard was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She was employed by Cajah Corp. Quality Control, where she had a lot of good friends and co-workers. Survivors include two brothers, Doug White and wife, Carolyn, of Hickory and Ed Frizsell of Granite Falls; two sisters, Wanda Marley and husband, Larry, and Luci Smith and husband, Tim, both of Granite Falls; six nephews, Tim, Mark and Scott White, Jason Hollars and Chad and Kevin Marley; a niece, Jada Cusak; a great-niece, Kristin White; and two great-nephews, Ryan and Garren White. Shirley was a wonderful daughter, sister and aunt. We know she loved the Lord and served him faithfully. We love you and we will meet you in heaven to walk on streets of gold. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts forever. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Howard Mikeals and Joe Dempsey. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight, Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home and Crematory. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim, Mark and Scott White, Jason Hollars and Chad and Kevin Marley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan and Garren White.
