Steven Michael Leatherman

CATAWBA - Steven Michael Leatherman, 46, of Catawba, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born on Feb. 15, 1964, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Jack J. Leatherman and Jessie Setzer Leatherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry N. Leatherman. He is survived by eight brothers, Johnny "Butch" Leatherman and his wife, Elaine, of Sherrills Ford, Jimmy Leatherman and his wife, Patsy, of Catawba, Ricky Leatherman, Gary Leatherman and his wife, Patricia, Larry Leatherman and his wife, Debbie, Bobby Leatherman and his wife, Jill, Gerald Leatherman, all of Sherrills Ford, Kenneth Leatherman and his wife, Kimberly, of Catawba; paternal grandmother, Laura Leatherman Ramsey of Lincolnton; many aunts and uncles; and many nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover, with the Rev. Travis Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in Mathis Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, Nov. 28, 2010, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Pallbearers are Scott Leatherman, Allen Leatherman, David Leatherman, Roscoe Houck, Danny Roarke and Danny Lee.
