Thomas Edward Martin, 75, of Old Salisbury Road in Linwood, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at his home surrounded by family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, by the Rev. Randy Foster. Mr. Martin will lie-in-state at Davidson Funeral Home from 9 to 10:30 a.m., prior to the service.

Mr. Martin was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Catawba County, to James Christopher Martin Sr. and Martha Pearl Davis Martin. He was a corporate officer of Transit Damaged Freight and a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Christopher Martin Jr.; and stepmother, Mary Belle Walsh Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Kay Edwards Martin of the home; sons, Tommy "Derek" Martin (Dannell) of Linwood, and Edward "Shane" Martin (Kristi) of Harrisburg; brothers, Jerry Martin (Allowayne) of Lexington, N.C., and Randy Martin (Cathy) of Linwood; sister, Tracie Landreth (Micky) of Linwood; and two grandchildren, Keely Moore (Spencer) and Ozzie Ross Martin (Grace).

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Tyro United Methodist Church, 4484 S NC Hwy. 150, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Trellis Supportive Care, 301 S Main St., Suite 105, Salisbury, NC 28144.
