Tom Shew Obituary

LENOIR - Tom Robert Shew, 41, of Outback Lane, Lenoir, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at his residence. He was born Sept. 15, 1966, in Caldwell County to the late Dorothy Pearl Cikanek Shew and Grady James Shew. Mr. Shew was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Susan Michelle Shew; sons, Tyler Shew and Mason Triplet; one brother, Grady Shew; and six sisters, Sandra Boone, Cheryl Williams, Sara Shew, Deborah Balnton, Tressie Byerly and Tamara Lail. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, with the Revs. Brady Atkins and Jerry Stine officiating at New Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Celia Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. At all other times, the family will receive friends at 105 Plymouth Road, Lenoir. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made toward funeral expenses for Mr. Shew, care of Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Service, P.O. Box 1063, Granite Falls, N.C. 28630. Bass-Smith Granite Funeral Service is serving the family of Tom Robert Shew.
