Louis Stephan Ontek Jr, a Twentynine Palms resident for 25 years, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, of chronic hyper-tension. He was 53 years old.
Louis was born to Lou and Barbara Ontek on Nov. 12, 1970, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
Louis grew up in Jackson, New Jersey, and went to Jackson Memorial High School.
He lived several other places such as Pennsylvania, Florida, Santa Catalina Island and then finally residing to Twentynine Palms. Many of his friends called him "Lou."
Lou was talented with many skills and could create anything; like his father. He was an excellent artist of drawing. He was self-employed in construction: remodeling. He studied electronics, electrical, HVAC and welding. His interests: trucks, dirt bikes, car racing, playing pool, darts, gaming and listening to classic rock and heavy metal music.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas Beenick and sister-in-law Robyn Beenick, nephew Tommy Beenick and niece-in-law Tammy (great-nephews: Tommy and Scott and great-niece Jessica), nephew Jonathan Beenick and niece-in-law Crystal (great-nephews: Damon and Atticus), sister Regina Wallace and brother-in-law Kevin Wallace, nephew Kevin Wallace, Jr., and niece-in-law Caroline, nephew Andrew Wallace and Brianna Perry.
He is also survived by his former wife, Missy Varlese, daughter Jessica Ontek and fiancé Jacob Brady, grandchildren: Jena, Jade and Jaxson.
He was preceded in death by father Lou Ontek Sr., mother Barbara Ontek, sister Cynthia "Cindy" Tamblin, grandmother Grace (Wilkins) Bashuk, great-uncle Lawrence Wilkins, and grandfather Steven Ontek Sr.
A Catholic Mass funeral service will be held 7 p.m. on Friday, April 12, at the Blessed Sacrament Church of Twentynine Palms. A viewing will be at 6 p.m.
