Samuel Lehman Obituary

Samuel Lehman, 81, peacefully passed away on February 7, 2025, in his home in Joshua Tree, surrounded by his loving family. Sam moved to Joshua Tree in 1976, where he built a life filled with love, adventure and cherished memories.
Sam was a devoted family man who found joy in fishing, exploring the Glamis Dunes and camping with his loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Eden and James Lehman.
He was also preceded in death by brother James Lehman and sister Annetta Foresberg.
Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 49 wonderful years, Linda Lehman, and their four children: Sam Lehman Jr. (wife Wilda Lehman), of Nevada, Malcolm Lehman, David Lehman (wife Janelle Lehman), of Apple Valley, and Mike Lehman (wife Tricia Lehman), of Arizona. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Davy Jr., Sammy Jr., EJ, Cayla Brown (husband Austin Brown), Carmela, Mikey, Jada and Mia Lehman, and a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Rylee.
For 40 years, Sam successfully ran Lehman Excavating, a business built on trust and a simple handshake. He made many friends who became like family, and his legacy of integrity and kindness will be remembered by all who knew him.
Sam's faith in the Lord was unwavering, and he believed in living a life of simplicity and honestly. He was a legend in his own right, leaving behind a wealth of fun and loving memories for his family and friends to treasure.
Celebration of life will be held at Lighthouse Church, 5475 Sunburst St., Joshua Tree, on April 12 at 11 a.m.
