Starlene Doss Obituary
Starlene leaves us with her legacy of unconditional love and resilience as a loving mother, partner, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend whose memory and radiant spirit will be celebrated by all who knew her.
Despite facing health challenges throughout her life, Starlene was everyone's favorite fighter who never gave up. She consistently defied the odds and expectations of doctors, showing her strength, which was fueled by the support of her family and loved ones.
Starlene was preceded by her mother and father, Deborah "Debbie" Pattison Doss, and Lawrence "Larry" Doss who she loved dearly.
Starlene's life revolved around her family, especially her three adoring daughters, Leah Glaser (23), Stella Esparza (12), and Raya Esparza (10), her partner for life, Jesse Esparza, her grandmother, Virginia "Ginger" Copping, and her beloved pup pup, Baby Girl. She loved them more than anything else in this world, and they were her greatest source of strength in life.
She is also survived by her younger brother, Skylon Doss, siblings, Ronald Doss and Audrey Smetana, her aunt, Nancy Ellsworth, and her cherished three nieces and one nephew.
A celebration of life will be held for Starlene at 1 p.m. May 18 the Elks Lodge in Yucca Valley.

Life seems so unfair sometimes. We really need to live and appreciate what is today, what is now. Show your love for those you care for, tomorrow may be too late. I'm happy to have known Starlene and watch her blossom from a child to womanhood. She wasn't one to let things bring her down. She'll be missed, but her memories will stay with us always.

One of my memories I have of my granddaughter is how strong minded she was. Going through all she had to endure with this cancer she just told the doctors do what you have to do to keep me alive I still have two girls at home who need me
