Charles Wolfington Obituary

Charles "Chuck" H. Wolfington, age 87, passed away Aug. 3, 2024, at Windchime Assisted Living at the Village in Kingsland, Texas.

Chuck was born March 14, 1937, in Normangee, Texas to Alice Byrd Wolfington and George Ellis Wolfington. Chuck spent his childhood in Normangee until he attended college in A & M.

Chuck was the ultimate "fix-it man". He enjoyed helping neighbors and family with carpentry items, mechanical problems and especially computer repair. He and his step son-in-law Jim loved watching Fox News and fixing the world. Chuck and his sons, David and Carl, loved to fish and putter around the house until the untimely death of David in March of 2013 and Carl in October of 2023. When great grandsons visited you could find Chuck teaching them to fish. Chuck's pets, Bunny and Angel, were very dear to him. He was concerned that they would have a good home when he passed. That was fulfilled.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and George, two brothers, John and George and one sister, Isabell, and two sons, David and Carl Wolfington and his wife, Donna Fancher Wolfington.

Chuck is survived by his granddaughter Carli Rae Wolfington of Liberty Hill, Tx, great grandson, Jarrod Gabriel Cornelius, and two step-daughters, Sherian Craft (Jim) of North Loup, NE and LaQueeda Harding of Yuba City, Ca., seven step grandchildren, 5 step great and 4 step great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at The Highland Lakes Baptist Church in Kingsland on August 24 at 11 am. Mr. Wolfington requested cremation.
