Rex Lusinger Obituary
He grew up in Marble Falls and joined the Army in 1967 and was honorably discharged in 1979. He served in Vietnam, in Germany, in Washington State and at Fort Hood. He held the rank of Sergeant in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Vietnam. Rex received many medals and letters of commendation for his leadership qualities and attention to detail, as well as Good Conduct medals.
Rex loved animals. He raised hunting dogs when he was young and grew up working cattle with his dad, and hunting and fishing throughout Burnet County. He had many dogs that were very devoted to him. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing with and taking care of his grandchildren.
Rex was a handyman. He could fix almost anything. He was a hard worker and if there was a job to be done, he did it right away. He was an excellent cook. He could fry the fish he caught and fry venison better than anyone.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents, and his three brothers, Ronnie Powell, Bo Lusinger and Scott Lusinger. He is survived by his sons Clifton and Michael Lusinger and their families; wife Nancy Foster, Kristin Sagebiel and Chad Foster and their families, and sisters-in-law Grace Powell, Mary Lou Lusinger and Barbara Lusinger, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rex, Dad, Pawpaw . . . . . you will be missed. We love you.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 14, 2022, at 1:30, just prior to the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Craig Lusinger, Tammy Lusinger, David Powell, Chad Foster, Ashlyn Lusinger and Josh Foster.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jerry Sowell, Herbert Bess, Clif Lusinger, and Michael Lusinger.
