I was a classmate and friend of Gary´s in Payson. It seems like just yesterday that we were sitting in class, goofing off in the hallways or working hard, under coach Durrant and our teammates, out on the football field. Off the field, it sounds like all that hard work in seminary paid off too. His spirituality was just as infective then as it appears it was for his entire life. He was an amazing person, in every respect then and it is abundantly clear that he remained that way. He and his brother Mark, were the kind of guys you always wanted in your corner. Gary was one of the rare "Great Ones". He has left an amazing legacy. Just like anyone else whose life he may have touched, I feel lucky and blessed to have known him, even for just those few years. Gary is such wonderful and kind friend, and Carol and I cherish the great times spent together with Gary and Susan. Whether at Lake Powell or enjoying a BBQ, we always felt Gary´s kindness and love. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Susan and the family at this difficult time...

Susan, I'm so sorry to read about Gary's passing. Was it a surprise? I thought you guys were working in the temple. You will be in our prayers. Stay strong...and faithful. Love you, Nancy Willie
