Gerald Deloy Haviland, 76, of Avon, Utah, passed away October 11, 2017.
Born March 4, 1941, in North Ogden, UT to Lee and Leona Haviland. Married Judy Yates, July 8, 1959, in Harper Ward, UT. She passed away July 30, 2015.
Gerald graduated from Weber High School. He was a plumbing contractor most of his life. He and Judy had a small dairy farm in Avon, and he loved working the ground. He also loved rodeo and served as the UHSRA state president.
Survived by sons Shane (Dana), Avon, UT, Troy (Susan), Gilbert, AZ and daughter Lindsey (Ryan Richards), Avon, UT. Sisters Florence Bybee, Hyrum, UT and Marge Haviland, Ogden, UT. Proceeded in death by wife Judy and brother Gary.
Indoor graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Paradise 1st and 4th Ward Chapel, 155 East 9400 South. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Herald Journal.
