John Goulart

John Gary Goulart, 69, of Bristol, RI, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 after a brief illness. A son of the late John Garcia and Margaret (Mondina) Goulart, John was a lifelong resident of Bristol and a longtime member of St. Elizabeth's Parish.

John is survived by his sister, Nancy Reskusich and her husband John of BristoI; his niece and nephew, Melissa Tabor-Bernardo and Warner "Skip" Tabor; his niece, Jenna Goulart; his sister-in-law, JoAnn (Hubbard) Goulart of Florida; and his great nephews, Anthony "Ajay" and Zachary Bernardo; as well as several cousins. He was the brother of the late Jeffrey Alan Goulart.

John was employed at Bend Boat Basin in Portsmouth as a Mechanics Manager and at People in the Woods in Portsmouth as a Kitchen and Bath Designer. He also was co-owner of the Corner Galley and the Kinsmen Tavern both in Bristol.

He loved music and playing his guitar. He was passionate about working on his classic Mustang. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing on Narragansett Bay.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, RI 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 4-7PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 9AM followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Elizabeth's Church, 577 Wood St. Bristol, RI 02809.
