Helen Crump

Helen Clegg Crump of Portland, Ore., died March 8, 2012. She was 99.
Daughter of Frank and Gladys Farquhson Clegg, Helen was born in Burley, Idaho. She grew up in Springville, Utah, and moved with her family to England when she was a teenager. She moved back to Utah, but she spent most of her adult life living in California and Oregon.
In 1995, Helen came to Wellsville, Utah, to live with and take care of her sister, Ruth Mayers. After Ruth died, Helen moved to Portland where she lived with her daughter Beverly.
Helen was a wonderful mom, daughter, wife and friend. Helen was a special aunt to the Mayers boys, and she was loved by all who knew her. She loved to dance and order items from QVC. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Frazer of Oregon and Linda Hunt of Alaska; son, Michael Elliot of Oregon; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and her little dog, Bo-Bo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Ruth Clegg Mayers; brother Glen Clegg; and son, Glen Yandell.
Graveside services will be held in the summer. Interment will be in Wellsville City Cemetery.
