Janet Allen Obituary

Janet Allen
Fielding - The heavens are rejoicing at the return of a successful spirit. Janet Louise Jorgensen Allen passed peacefully from this earth to the next existence Thursday evening at her home in Fielding, Utah. She lived 77 successful years teaching children, youth and adults that the Savior's principle of love and caring really can be incorporated into one's life. Janet put her complete heart and soul into all things she ever attempted. Highlights include 19 years as an elementary school teacher; many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, both ward and stake; as a missionary in Nauvoo and Carthage, Illinois; and an officiator in the Logan Temple. She was chosen valedictorian at all levels of education; which included her hometown of Ephraim's primary and secondary schools; Snow College, and Utah State University.
She will be incredibly missed here by her seven living children and their eternal companions: Athena (Scott) Lloyd of Cedar Hills; Matthew (Joann) of Fielding; Toni (Mark) Johnson of Layton; Eric of Yokohama, Japan; Byron (Heidi) of South Ogden; Alys (Scott) McKnight of Wilsonville, Ore.; Ruth (Wes) Baumgartner of Bozeman, Mont.; one sister, Margo Adams of Orem; and her own eternal companion, Gerald L "Jerry" Allen; plus 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Greeting her as she changed her existence were an infant son Jonathan; parents James and Grace Jorgensen; a sister Sandra Christensen; a brother Kent; in-laws Earle and Delores Allen.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Fielding Stake Centerm 4375 W. 15600 North, Fielding. There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and prior to the service from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

She has a loving forgiving open heart and was such an example for me to follow....I think of her so often and will always continue to until we all will meet again. This woman had integrity, humor, Janet was very bright. One of the few women I have known and respected. She had the ability to make you shine in her presence. She will be missed
