Mrs. Ballif was my private "reading" teacher who was the single most influential person in shaping my career as a teacher and gave me the skills for the public speaking I've been called upon to do throughout my life. As a teen-ager who had no musical talent, she taught me to use my voice and acting to entertain. What a remarkable woman to whom I am grateful and never took the opportunity to express my apprecition to her. - Nancy Greaves

Sister Baliff was my reading merit badge advisor way back when, what a neat lady. I'm sure your families have many fond memories of both Marion and Karl. I helped Karl in the pea harvest many years ago, he also was a great teacher.

Sister Marion Ballif had a great influence on me. Her untiring interest in the youth was remarkable. As a teen living in Whitney,I was assigned to give a reading. She was my coach. I remember her saying to me, " Practice in a private place away from other persons." So my choice was over the hill, where the cows roamed during the day. The cows were my practice audience. The reading was about Mary the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of Judas. It was a great experience. I love her for the opportunity, her love, and example. Also KC do you remember the roller skating during recess at Whitney School? Sorry that we are not able to attend the services.

Sister Baliff was admired by all who knew her. Her sense of humor, her grace and her great talent still provides an example to me many years after leaving Whitney. The Lord's blessings of comfort and sweet memories for your family.

Sister Ballif had such an impact in my early years in Whitney. Being our neighbor, I was able to visit with her quite often. What a talented lady she was.
